part two. cake batter oreo blond cookie bars

remember this post. the last one. the one about cake batter and breakfast. sugar. and frosting. glaze and sprinkles. yeah now you remember.
Well this is part two. this is the first afternoon after school snack. this is cake batter. cake batter oreos. blond cookies. sprinkles and some nice fat bars. sound like a plan?
a cake batter oreo crust, the love child of blondies and a crumbly cookie and some insane cake batter frosting.
oh yes.

Cake Batter Oreo Blond Cookie Bars 9x9 or 8x8 pan
Crust:
1/3 stick melted butter
25 cake batter oreo cookies

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Grind up your cookies and then combine with the melted butter. stir together. Press into a lightly greased 9x9 (or 8x8) and bake for 12 minutes. Leave the oven on at 350, but remove the crust from the oven and let cool.

Blondies (inspired by my heath blondies):
1/3 cup of sugar (I was out of sugar so i used 3 T truvia and 1 T sugar)
1 stick of butter, browned (See this post for browning butter help. If you can burn things, you can brown butter. it's burning things for classy people. you got this.)
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
1 cup flour
dash of salt
1/8 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 cup cake batter oreos (chopped)
dash of milk

Combine your sugar, browned butter, vanilla and egg with a wisk. Sift together the flour, baking soda, baking powder and a dash of salt. combine the dry and wet ingredients. fold in the chopped oreos. Add a dash of milk if need be but it will be a thick dry dough. Pack dough ontop of the crust and bake for 20 minutes or til golden. Let cool.

Cake Batter Frosting (halve if you just want to frost blondies, make the whole recipe if you want to refrigerate for future use.):

1 stick of softened butter
4 oz softened cream cheese (half pkg.)
2/3 yellow or funfetti cake mix (yellow has more flavor)
1 cup confectioners sugar

Beat your butter and cream cheese til crazy fluffy. Mix in the cake mix and sugar and beat again til combined. Generously frosting blondies and enjoy!
use the crumbles for an ice cream topper!
