goodbye 2012, hellO 2013

so i saw that everyone was making "the best of 2012" posts and i realized that it's quite a good idea. Granted i love sharing old and loved recipes with you guys but it's good for me to see how far I've come. a year is a really really really long time!
so much has happened, not just in my blog but in life. I started school, I was in the most amazing musical and made a silly mistake, I had one of my best friends staying with me and she guest blogged, I guest blogged for the first time.

It's been a year since I started blogging and so much has changed! I still feel the urge to delete old posts with crappy writing and horrible photos but i won't. it's always a sign of how far i've come and hope to continue going!

the five most loved recipes of 2012

Homemade English Muffins
The most loved recipe of 2012, the most moist, fluffy and perfect english muffins you'll ever eat. Love love love this recipe! I've made it about 10 times lately! Super quick and easy!

Flaky, crunchy and cheesy. Need anymore info? No, okay, didn't think so.

One of the first recipes on the web for two cupcakes at a time. Sometimes you can't have a dozen sitting around because it's a new year and whatever so here you go. Be happy, be healthy, eat frosting, throw sprinkles.

Homemade Pennsylvania-Dutch Whoopie Pies
The original dutch whoopie pies, an old recipe I adapted straight from Amish Country in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Moist, Chocolatel-y (is that even a word) and absolutely
p e r f e c t.

Another well received recipe! I took the same whoopie pies from above and filled with with cookie dough. yah. Don't judge me!

five most underrated recipes of 2012

The Best Chocolate Cream Pie
With a crust made of chocolate chip cookies and the best filling ever, you can't go wrong. Sweet but not too sweet. Insatiably creamy and smooth and a no-fail right here!

Homemade Krispy Kremes
I re-wrote the recipe for this to hopefully simplify it and you can view the new pictures here! Loads of fun to make and super simple. Doughnuts. Extra fluffy, light, perfect, right down to that crispy glaze.

I don't even like bananas and yet this gelato is heaven. You should try it. Yes.

Salted Caramel Sourdough Bread Pudding
Salted Caramel. Sourdough. Bread Pudding. You don't need anything else from me. I think i've now outlived my usefulness.

Olive Oil Pie Crust
Nothing like a unique twist on galette to get my blood flowing. With it's own unique texture and taste, give olive oil pie crust a whirl. Isn't that a great word, W H I R L. It just sounds like cotton candy. Audio sugar, sounds good to me.

thank you guys so much for being on this journey with me. it means the world and beyond! The out pouring of support, love and kind comments is amazing so beautiful!
